I surrendered to the soothing island breeze and Greek electronic music
I held back my tears and my distress, I surrendered in your arms, and it felt organic

They are colonizing space
On our side, the quest for power propels us into a race of disgrace
For them, the "we" is their foundation, their strength, their glimmer of hope
On this unpredictable Earth, we continue to fight for dirty money and still hope for answers with a telescope
They beautify inhospitable worlds, they purify planets
Here, the crisis of overdoses, the indigenous children of a genocide, and the grandeur of the sacraments
They likely stumbled upon evil through astonishment and incomprehension while studying a world like ours
Fascism, weapons of mass destruction, artificial intelligence that devours
They probably have memorable memories of alliances throughout the universe
They probably made calculated philosophical advances as rigorous as a verse
They have avoided a dystopian future; perhaps they see hope in some of us?
Their 'we' is so powerful; this intrusion, perhaps, is the reason for all this confusion
There are so many things imperceptible to our eyes
Secret allies, perhaps the future implies their replies
If we have invested so much time in conquering, in developing capitalism...
Perhaps they have conquered doubt, the psyche, and more than their 'we' -

Often, I would like to relive certain moments of my childhood when the love of my parents was pure. Pure because the parents thought they could live the dream of being grandparents one day.
